The KoldData shift
Move from forensic monitoring to proactive intelligence.
The goal is not simply to collect more data. It is to help teams understand risk sooner, respond with confidence and retain a trustworthy record of each journey.
Partner with usAfrican-built cold-chain intelligence
KoldData is building an AIoT-powered cold-chain management ecosystem to help protect vaccines, medicines and food from invisible temperature risk.
Protecting health.
Preserving food.
Strengthening African supply chains.
Why this matters
A vaccine can look unchanged after a damaging temperature excursion. Food cargo can complete a long journey before anyone discovers the loss. When monitoring only explains what went wrong after delivery, organisations are left with waste, compliance risk and broken trust.
The KoldData shift
The goal is not simply to collect more data. It is to help teams understand risk sooner, respond with confidence and retain a trustworthy record of each journey.
tonnes of food production are lost each year because effective refrigeration is missing.
FAO / UNEP reportof global food production is lost directly because of insufficient refrigeration, according to the same UN report.
Better visibility can protect more than cargo.
The KoldData product
KoldData is being developed as an integrated AIoT ecosystem - not a standalone data logger. It brings field sensing, edge intelligence, secure communications, cloud visibility and trusted records into one operational picture.
Physical + digital assurance
The system is intended to work across cold rooms, refrigerators, vehicles and protected payloads. Local intelligence can identify meaningful changes near the source, while KoldCore provides the wider view for alerts, reporting and integration.
Illustrative system animation
Capture temperature, humidity, probe, door and location context close to the asset.
Analyse thermodynamic patterns locally for anomalies and emerging thermal risk.
Move critical states through local wireless links and cellular backhaul when required.
Surface alerts and operational visibility so teams can respond while intervention is possible.
Retain structured records for audits, reports, integrations and accountable handovers.
Why AIoT
AIoT combines artificial intelligence with the Internet of Things: connected sensing that can interpret conditions, not merely report them.
For Africa, this creates a path to useful local decision-making even when connectivity, power supply and operating conditions are uneven.
Connected sensing can turn fragmented temperature readings into continuous operational visibility.
AI can identify unusual patterns and emerging thermal risk earlier than threshold-only monitoring.
Local intelligence can reduce dependence on constant cloud connectivity and make every transmitted alert more meaningful.
Structured records can strengthen quality assurance, compliance evidence and accountability across handovers.
Built for impact
KoldData's vision is grounded in long routes, intermittent connectivity, demanding climates and the need for affordable, locally relevant assurance. Edge intelligence can reduce unnecessary data movement, improve resilience and keep more value - including know-how and cold-chain data - closer to African organisations.

The founder
Wisdom is an Industrial & Systems Engineer, a postgraduate researcher turned Entrepreneur with first-hand experience in regional logistics.
He founded KoldData to turn a recurring supply-chain problem into locally engineered infrastructure: technology that can protect temperature-sensitive goods, strengthen accountability and help African organisations make better decisions from their own data.
“African constraints are not a bug. They are a feature - and a reason to engineer with greater precision.”
Work with KoldData
